The famous web portal is famous for it's matchmaking service too

Yahoo Personals is an amazingly large site, touting around 12 million members. However, keep in mind that Yahoo is the most used website worldwide, so many of it's members are internationally. While no number is readily available I'd estimate roughly 5 million of it's members are american.

Top put things in perspective, honestly, I mostly found Yahoo Personals to be average. Moderately easy to use, with a nice amount of members nearby. Honestly, since they offer a free trial with the ability to contact someone with an "icebreaker" without ever signing up, I'd mainly recommend to try it, look around, and if you find someone interesting, send them an icebreaker and if they respond, then I would sign up to reply.

There are some fun features, like 30 second video clips you can put on your profile, which does allow visitors to get a feel of who you are, and vice versa, allows you to see if your potential date is really sweet or psycho in person, since behavioral movements can often teach us so much more than a still photograph, I think Yahoo is going in the right direction.
